I had my 1st XC flight today. I launched from Winchester Bowl around 4pm. I flew the ridge lift for an hour before finally catching a small thermal. I left Winchester at 3830ft, heading for Soboba with a 15MPH tailwind. I didn’t quite make it & landed near San Jacinto Community College. Even though it wasn’t far, it was my most exciting flight. I’m looking forward to many more XC flights.

    Well done Sean.
I saw you arrive and wondered what flight path was followed.

    Nice Job.
Looks like you caught the convergence. It would have been difficult to make Soboba from the college since the last part would have been heavy sink. See attached convergence from RASP at 5:00 yesterday.
    Way Cool!
